UID Marking Just Got Brighter

Company officials of tesa tape, inc., an affiliate of tesa SE, a global leader in the manufacture and supply of pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes, are pleased to announce the expansion of the company’s line of adhesive tapes for marking and identification applications.

Since their initial introduction, tesa® laser labels have taken the UID (unique identification) market by storm. These unique labels are designed as sturdy, permanent marking agents, each with the ability to be custom imprinted with laser beam marking equipment. Building on the tried-and-true features and performance of the original black and silver labels (tesa® 6973 Secure), company officials recently introduced an enhanced laser
label product for permanent marking applications –tesa® 6940 Rapid.

Just as its name implies, tesa® 6940 Rapid is the most “rapidly” laser etched label offered by tesa. This is due to its slim-line and unique backing material, which can be quickly etched with a custom marking code and
immediately applied to virtually any item. Additionally, just like tesa® 6973 Secure, tesa® 6940 Rapid is equipped with an embedded tamper-proof security feature. Any attempt to manipulate or remove the label
results in deterioration of the label in small, fragmented pieces.

Originally available only in black, tesa® 6940 Rapid is now available in a variety of colors:

• black with silver etching
• red with white etching
• blue with white etching
• yellow with black etching
