Recent company research and development efforts have led to the introduction of a unique foam plate mounting tape engineered specifically for “extremely fine” screen printing. This new product – tesa® 52118 Softprint x-Soft – embodies one of the softest foam backings on the market, whereby affording the printing plate the ideal cushion to transfer the highest screen counts to the substrate with minimized dot gain, all at production press speeds! To be exact, tesa® 52118 Softprint x-Soft enables completely clear printing of 80 lines per centimeter or more on given label stock material. An additional benefit of tesa® 52118 Softprint x-Soft’s unique foam backing is its ability to overcome press vibrations, as the micro-cell foam is able to absorb uncontrolled energy within the press.

tesa® 52118 Softprint x-Soft also harbors a custom adhesive system designed specifically to optimize the tape’s mounting to press cylinders, performance during print run, and demounting from cylinders upon job completion.

With the addition of tesa® 52118 Softprint x Soft, tesa now offers a robust 15 plate mounting and related tape products for the flexographic label printing industry.
