Receives ISO 14001 Certification
CHARLOTTE, NC, USA – September 14, 2005 – Company officials of tesa tape, inc., a global leader in the manufacture and supply of pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes, recently announced the certification of their North American manufacturing facility in Sparta, Michigan, to an ISO (International Organization for Standardization) Environmental Management Systems Standard - ISO 14001:2004.
ISO 14001:2004 is the internationally-recognized standard for EMS (Environmental Management Systems). It provides guidance on how to manage the environmental aspects of activities, products, and services more effectively, taking into consideration environmental protection, pollution prevention, and socio-economic needs. By employing the ISO 14001 Standard, companies will be taking a systematic approach to building their environmental management systems in accordance with international standards.
With this certification, tesa underlines its commitment to operate in a sustainable and environmentally friendly format. tesa facilities around the world are being certified to the ISO 14001 Standard, including facilities in Europe and Malaysia, with additional certifications planned for tesa locations in Switzerland, India, and Singapore.
