tesa ADDS TO ITS MASKING LINE

CHARLOTTE, NC, USA – October 1, 2006 – Company officials of tesa tape, inc., a global leader in the manufacture and supply of pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes, today officially added three new products to its robust masking tapes and accessories line. The new additions include one paper masking tape and two masking films.
As a key supplier to the transportation industry, tesa developed its latest innovation – tesa 4305 paper masking tape – around the specific painting needs of vehicle suppliers and OEMs (original equipment manufacturers). The tape is comprised of a finely creped, extremely strong and stretchable paper backing coupled with a unique “quick stick” adhesive allowing for easy and safe application to virtually any vehicle surface, including painted metal, rubber, glass, and chrome. This powerful backing / adhesive combination can resist oven-drying temperatures of up to 250o fahrenheit / 120o celsius and remove easily without tearing or leaving residue after the drying process is complete. Additionally, tesa 4305 is resistant to wet sanding and flaking.
As a complement to its masking tapes, tesa introduced two masking drapes to its line. The first - tesa 4394 masking drape - offers reliable and complete coverage on any vehicle for today's demanding spray-paint applications. This unique product is engineered with an electrostatic charge, offering an easy "static-cling" application. tesa 4394 is backed by a tear-resistant film, making it sturdy enough to withstand both oven and infrared drying techniques (up to 110o fahrenheit), yet flexible enough to contour to any surface.
The second new drape – tesa 4392 premium masking drape - is designed for more critical paint applications. Equipped with a unique anti-spotting feature, this film can be used on car body surfaces with slight areas of moisture without causing spots on the paint after drying. It offers temperature resistance of up to 115o fahrenheit in both oven and infrared drying environments. tesa 4392 also harbors an electrostatic charge, making application onto the vehicle surface a simple and one-person process.
To make storage and transport of tesa 4394 and tesa 4392 easier, tesa also introduced a handy dispenser to house these products. This diverse dispenser is equipped with handles and rollers, making portability of the drapes around the production or shop floor extremely easy, while the closed cover on the unit provides protection against dirt and debris.
