The patented tesa EasySplice family of products is comprised of three main products groups, each focusing on a particular splicing application within a given industry:
tesa EasySplice FastLine - Splicing tape for paper manufacturers
tesa EasySplice NewsLine - Splicing tape and accessories for newspaper printers
tesa EasySplice PrintLine - Splicing tape for commercial printers
In the paper manufacturing process, time is money! tesa EasySplice FastLine sets new standards for splicing large paper rolls together in preparation for the paper coating process. Unlike traditional splicing methods that require both a double-sided tape and fastening tabs or labels, tesa EasySplice FastLine offers a secure, straight-line splice that eliminates the need for additional fastening components. Because of its ease of application, splice preparation time can be greatly reduced. Additional time can be saved as a result of the increased splice security level at the off-line coater - up to 3%! With this kind of splice security, there is no need to decrease the machine speed to accommodate splices between rolls - again a savings in production time.
The biggest headline in today's news is the introduction of tesa EasySplice NewsLine. This novel product completely changes the newsprint production process! Unlike traditional splicing tapes that require complicated splicing patterns for adhering one paper roll to the next in flying splice applications, tesa EasySplice NewsLine allows a straight-line paster pattern without the need for nose tabs or tie-downs!
For situations where traditional splicing tapes are still in use, tesa offers a suite of NewsLine accessories that are sure to "ease" the splicing process. These accessories include: 1) tesa 51118 EasyTab - a unique nose tab that allows operators to completely secure the nose without the need for tie-downs; 2) tesa 6282 EasyBridge -a bridge plate that ensures sufficient adhesive contact to hold the splice without allowing excessive belt contact; 3) tesa 51003 and 51005 -sensing tabs for triggering automatic paster mechanisms.
Much like its sister products, tesa EasySplice PrintLine offers commercial printers an unrivaled method for roll-to-roll splicing applications. This product offers straight-line splicing capabilities, eliminating the need for nose tabs and tie-downs. Once again, application time is extremely shortened compared to conventional splicing methods, and 100% splice security is ensured across the web. All the tape's usable components are completely repulpable, allowing recycling of both the paper and tape.
