CHARLOTTE, NC - May 15, 2002 - tesa tape, inc., a global leader in the manufacture and supply of pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes, announces several enhancements to its existing line of packaging tape products. This line of tapes is one of many offered by the company that also markets double-sided, masking, duct, and specialty-tape product families.
tesa manufactures a variety of tapes for packaging applications, including BOPP (biaxially-oriented polypropylene), paper, and UPVC carton sealing tapes, as well as TPP (tensilized polypropylene), and filament tapes for bundling and palletizing applications. The new products being introduced allow tesa to offer a broader line of tapes to fit the diverse needs of companies storing and transporting a variety of products under a range of conditions.
The recent enhancements to the tesa line of packaging tapes include:
· Three additional hot-melt BOPP tapes - 2.2 mils, 2.5 mils, and 3 mils thick! These new grades join the 1.6 and 1.9-mil standard tesa BOPP grades!
· Two acrylic adhesive BOPP tapes including 1.65 and 1.9-mil grades.
· Two flatback paper tapes with natural rubber adhesive, ideal for a variety of applications, including core starting, end tabbing, and non-repulpable single-sided splicing.
· One new filament-grade tape to further compliment our range of high-tensile filament tapes.
