tesa tape, inc. has today been given national recognition for its commitment to exporting.

CHARLOTTE, NC - July 29, 2002 - tesa tape, inc., a global leader in the manufacture and supply of pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes, has today been given national recognition for its commitment to exporting. This recognition came in the form of a certificate granted on behalf of the U.S. Commercial Service.
In a ceremony held on July 29th at the U.S. Export Assistance Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, former Charlotte Mayor and now Congressional Representative Sue Myrick presented tesa with an Export Achievement Certificate. This certificate is one method used by the U.S. Commercial Service to encourage exporting by small business in the face of a mounting trade deficit. tesa was one of five Charlotte-area companies presented with a certificate.
tesa tape, inc. has worked closely with the Charlotte office of the U.S. Commerce Department to identify and cultivate potential export distributors throughout the world utilizing the Commercial News USA publication, the BUY USA website, and the International Partner Search Service. These efforts are part of tesa's worldwide strategy of global coverage by combining affiliate operations with select export distributors to ensure a truly global scope of operation.
As described by Matt Parker, Sales Manager - Export/Volume Channels, "During this time of worldwide economic turmoil, tesa's export capabilities become an ever increasing part of our growth strategy. tesa currently has over 68 affiliate operations throughout the world, with each servicing its host country's tape needs. Our goal is to identify those areas where tesa is not currently represented and focus on exporting our quality products into those regions. With the tools provided by the U.S. Commerce Department, we will be successful in this endeavor."
tesa is also involved in many world trading organizations, including the Charlotte World Trade Association.
