tesa Introduces Next Generation of E-Sources... Launches First Phase of E-Business Capability

CHARLOTTE, NC, USA - July 21, 2003, - tesa tape, inc., a global leader in the manufacture and supply of pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes, today launched a new component to its web-based tools for top-tier distribution customers. This new module - electronic business (E-Business) - joins the company's robust web program which already includes internet, extranet, and intranet sites for both customers and employees.
The E-Business component of the website brings interactive capabilities to tesa's web program. Top-tier customers in the US and Canada can access this module through the existing tesa extranet. Once logged in, the customer has access to a wealth of information and capabilities, including:
· Checking the status of an order
· Viewing product availability
· Reviewing account financial details
· Administering appropriate access levels for their employees
In the past three years, tesa's web presence has exploded with both depth and functionality. The site began in 2000 with a meager collection of internet pages depicting product and contact information. In 2002, the company introduced a new-and-improved internet site, including enhanced graphics, more robust information, and a secured extranet site for distribution partners. The tesa extranet houses a large repository of resources. Today, company officials opened access of the E-Business module to its top-level distribution partners - tesanets - in the United States and Canada.
The addition of the E-Business component to the tesa web presence is just another step in the company's vigorous plan for its web presence. Future developments include granting access to this module to all tesa distributors, enhancing information, and allowing for on-line ordering, all of which are scheduled for completion by the end of 2004.
