Since 2001, the company has released 11 new products, and several new developments are underway. These 11 new releases join an already impressive family of splicing tapes for both traditional and contemporary splicing applications.
The rich line of tesa splicing tapes includes product solutions for every conceivable splicing application within paper manufacturing and commercial printing environments. Most notably, tesa recently introduced both the concept and products for straight-line splicing, an innovative splicing technique that proves both cost and time effective. It was this development in 2001, tesa EasySplice FastLine, that paved the way for the recent explosion of new products.

tesa for Coaters
tesa tapes continue to set the global standard for off-machine coater flying splices with tesa EasySplice. This product technology is a result of meticulous research and development, as well as close cooperation with leading coated paper manufacturers and global equipment suppliers. The patented tesa splitting strip technology has allowed paper coaters to streamline and standardize splicing at efficiency levels not seen before 2001. tesa EasySplice FastLine is available in different sizes and adhesive formulations to match speeds, base sheet compositions, coating conditions, and drying temperatures for state-of-the-art coating lines and older models. tesa EasySplice FastLine Heat is the newest addition to the product line, with the adhesive formulation designed for high speed / high temperature floatation dryers.
tesa EasySplice CoaterLine products were developed for narrow width and slower speed coating. tesa specialists provide training, troubleshooting, and on-going technical support to ensure that optimal splicing results are achieved. With tesa EasySplice, the splicing process is no longer the problem area in off-machine coating at high speeds. tesa for Winders
Whether the application calls for in-house splicing or sellable goods, tesa has the tape for the job. The new tesa butt splicing tape assortment features labor-saving tesa EasySplice WinderLine for making thin, strong butt splices. All tesa butt splice tapes are coatable and printable to prevent wet areas in coating processes and ink build up in printing. Printers prefer these splices to traditional overlapped splices and overlapped-reinforced splices.
A technical service representative from a prominent paper producer noted that: tesa tapes had the best performance of all tapes we tried from our tape suppliers. Our customer preferred the printing quality and processing of the tesa butt splice tapes.
Paper mills are also seeing improvements with the help of tesa tapes and processing concepts.
